The Alarming Reality

These phenomena not only affect the natural environment but also cause economic damage, crop failures, and threaten human safety.

Main Causes of Climate Change

The primary cause of climate change is the greenhouse effect. Human activities, particularly the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) for energy production, have released massive amounts of greenhouse gases such as CO2, CH4, and N2O into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere, causing the Earth to warm up.

Serious Consequences

Climate change causes many serious consequences, including: rising sea levels, extreme weather events, biodiversity loss, freshwater shortages, and impacts on human health. Rising sea levels threaten low-lying coastal areas, while extreme weather events cause damage to life and property.

Biodiversity loss is another alarming consequence. Many plant and animal species cannot adapt to the rapid changes in climate and are becoming extinct. Freshwater shortages and impacts on human health are also unavoidable consequences of climate change.

Necessary Solutions

To address climate change, comprehensive and decisive solutions are needed. Transitioning to renewable energy such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power is a crucial solution. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy efficiency, using public transportation, and reducing energy consumption is essential.

Protecting and restoring forests also plays a vital role in absorbing CO2. Policies encouraging afforestation and protecting existing forests are needed. Developing sustainable agriculture and reducing emissions from livestock farming are also important solutions.

Finally, raising public awareness about climate change and encouraging everyone to participate in environmental protection activities is essential to achieving common goals.
